| Issue: | The manufacturer has become aware that certain Carestation 850 and 850c Anesthesia Systems, can deliver less anesthetic agent than the user selected concentration setting. Reduced delivery of anesthetic agent can only occur when two vaporizers (either Sevoflurane or Isoflurane) are installed on the system, and the left mounted vaporizer is selected for anesthetic agent administration. This issue can be detected during preoperative checkout or while in clinical use. In the unlikely case this issue occurs during clinical use and the audible alarm and visual alarm messages are not noticed, it could result in patient movement during surgery and/or intraoperative awareness. |
