| Issue: | The manufacturer is issuing a corrective action for EVO IQ Large Volumetric Pumps (LVP) due to a potential issue with occlusion alarms not being triggered. This issue occurs after a downstream occlusion (DSO), or upstream occlusion (USO) initially alarms during an infusion, and the clinician tries to troubleshoot the alarm by opening the door, assessing the IV tubing, and closing the door without resolving the occlusion. This will cause the pump to re-baseline the occlusion pressure and future occlusion alarms may be delayed. 18/03/2025 Update - The manufacturer intends to issue a follow-up communication related to Ref #34342 regarding a small subset of EVO IQ pumps that may fail to turn on, display a blank screen, or show a system error due to a software-related mainboard failure. This issue occurs during pump start-up, before infusion begins. Only affected EVO IQ pumps are included in this updated communication; it will not be sent to customers whose devices are not impacted. |
