| Issue: | The manufacturer is recalling a specific lot of the Apple-Hunt Secondary Cannula™ Pyramidal Tip (5mm) following reports of devices that may contain a cannula component that is longer than the intended specification. As a result, when the device is assembled in accordance with the Instructions for Use, the pyramidal trocar tip does not extend beyond the distal end of the cannula as intended. The condition is readily detectable during the required assembly and pre-use inspection process, as the trocar tip remains enclosed within the cannula following assembly. |
