| Issue: | Unintentional side support opening does not occur spontaneously. Internal investigations found that the primary risk arises when the handle is not fully locked and additional force is applied during patient handling, increasing the potential for a patient fall. To address this, the Instructions for Use (IFU) have been updated with additional warnings on proper handle engagement and ergonomic handling practices. The investigation also identified that a specific supplier batch of torsion springs may not consistently return the handle to its fully locked position, increasing the likelihood of incomplete handle engagement and, consequently, unintentional side support opening under certain conditions. |
