Medsafe has been working to provide more information to the public about New Zealand reports of suspected adverse reactions to medicines.

Suspected medicine adverse reaction reports received in New Zealand will be available by the end of June via a searchable database.  The suspected medicine adverse reaction search (SMARS) will be located on the Medsafe website www.medsafe.govt.nz/Projects/B1/ADRSearch

SMARS is designed to increase transparency and address the growing public need for access to information.
