WAND User Instructions:
Medsafe strongly advises Sponsor's to refer to the WAND user manual and FAQ's available on our website for any queries related to the functionality of the NZ WAND database, before contacting Medsafe. These documents clearly guide the user on how to use WAND and all the various functions within the system. If the information in the WAND user manual or FAQ's do not assist you in your query, email the DART team DART@moh.govt.nz
WAND log in:
The NZ WAND log in only allows for up to 3 failed attempts to log in. After that it will block user access. If your user access has been blocked then the option of resetting the password is avaible on the same log in page. Once you have reset the new password it will be sent through to the NZ WAND administrators email. If you still have WAND log in issues, email the DART team DART@moh.govt.nz. A more comprehensive set of instructions on how to do this is in the WAND user manual, available from the website.
Manufacturer Details:
Medsafe recommends that you verify that the Manufacturer's address has been registered with Medsafe before making a new notification. There is a manufacturer search tool available on WAND. If you cannot locate the manufacturer please submit the new manufacturer details to Medsafe. Be aware it can take up to at least 2 business days to be uploaded, as the address details need to be verified. If the address cannot be verified then Medsafe will contact the submitter. This may delay the process. A more comprehensive set of instructions on how to do this is in the WAND user manual, available from the website.
New Ingredient or Substance request:
If you cannot locate a specific ingredient or substance whilst making a notification, then it is probably not on our database or has another synonym term used to define the substance or ingredient. Email the DART team DART@moh.govt.nz, requesting an addition of the new substance or ingredient. Please provide as much information possible regarding the ingredient or substance. Upon request it can take up to at least 2 business days to be uploaded, as the details need to be validated and checked. The DART team will email you confirming the outcome of your request.
