Correction to Section 13.6.2 Non-Steroidal
Anti-Inflammatory Agents

The wording of Section 13.6.2 relating to Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, has been changed to correct an error. The wording will be amended in the next update to the Guidelines, but for information, the revised wording is as follows:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents
Parenteral:
Contraindicated in patients taking anticoagulants or on intensive diuretic therapy.
Oral or parenteral:
Contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal ulceration, haemorrhagic
diasthesis, asthma.
Relatively contraindicated in liver dysfunction.
Dosage should be minised in the elderly and in patients with renal impairment.
